Course description

  • BCA has an excellent campus which Foundation Studies students have full use of for all subjects
  • Foundation Studies provides supportive and engaging opportunities
  • Class sizes are small to meet the needs of the students
  • There are a wide range of work experience opportunities (on and off site) which include the BCA Shop which is managed and run by the Foundation Studies department

Course content

The course will provide students with the opportunity to study many different subjects in a supportive and encouraging environment. The course combines classroom based lessons and outdoor practical activities.

Students will study employability skills and some may have the opportunity to do work experience.

Entry requirements

No entry requirements – as a guide, this course is aimed at E3 Level. Students will be invited to attend an interview and a taster day to assess suitability for the programme.

Future opportunities

Students will be encouraged to progress to an internship or Level 1 programme of study.
