Course description

The course covers communication, handling information, customer relations, diary systems, booking travel and accommodation, dealing with visitors, filing, researching & reporting information, organising and supporting meetings, using information technology, using a telephone system, teamwork, personal behaviour and problem solving. Course Content The course includes the following: * NVQ Level 2 (2 compulsory units and 3 optional units) * Technical Certificate in Business and Administration Level 2 * Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication * Employment Rights and Responsibilities * Assessment in the Workplace Portfolio Management You will be responsible for collecting evidence from your workplace. Personal Requirements Good organisational and communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team.

Entry requirements

Good standard of literacy and numeracy. Majority of learners are employed, assistance given with job search.

Future opportunities

This course offers you a specialist qualification for working in areas of business. It could lead onto other vocational qualifications such as a BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Business or an NVQ or Apprenticeship programmes in Administration, Customer Service or Retail. With further training, you could go into a job related to business such as a Business Administrator, Customer Service Agent, or Finance Assistant.
