Animal Care BTEC Level 2 at Bishop Burton College

Course description

This is a practical, work-related course, which will provide you with a sound foundation for your future career in small animal or behaviour training. Including a mix of practical, classroom, and work-based study, the Level Two Diploma equips you with a wide range of animal husbandry skills that can be built upon with further study, or put to use in the animal care profession.

  • Health and welfare of animals
  • Creating and maintaining appropriate animal accommodation
  • Feeding and nutrition
  • Exotic species
  • Work experience and employability skills
  • English and Maths, as required.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or 3 or equivalent, preferably including Science, and English and Maths. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered.
