Course description

Develop knowledge about society and how sociologists study. Understand society's structures, processes and issues. Sociology is exciting, interesting and relevant to students' lives.

Course content

AS Units

  • Unit 1: Education with Research Methods;
  • Unit 2: SCLY1- Work, Poverty and Welfare

A2 Units

  • Unit 3: Crime and Deviance with Theory and Methods
  • Unit 4: Stratification and Differentiation

Entry requirements

Grade B GCSE English Language or Grade B GCSE in English Literature or Grade B GCSE History or Grade B GCSE Religious Studies

Maths (C grade or above) and English (C grade or above) are both required
