Law A Level at South & City College Birmingham

Course description

In the first year of the course, students will study AS Law. This is a stand-alone qualification that is co-taught with A-level Law. This course is suitable for students with no prior knowledge of the subject. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of law in today's society, alongside an awareness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals and how this applies to their lives. Students will also develop analytical and problem-solving capabilities as they learn to apply legal rules.Work ExperienceAll students are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours work experience in both year one and year two. This will help develop the personal qualities and skills required by universities and employers.

Entry requirements

Six GCSEs at grade 5 (C) or above including English language and maths.
