English Literature AS/A2 at Tewkesbury School

Course description

AS and A2 English are far more about skills than facts. As an English student, you’ll study literature, language, culture, history, and may choose to develop your creative writing skills. You’ll be asked to consider the opinions of other readers – you may even disagree with them! There will be theatre trips and study days to encourage you to go beyond the classroom.

This is an interesting and challenging course which is highly regarded by all universities. It will stretch you both critically and creatively; at the same time you’ll develop valuable skills for any number of career choices.

Entry requirements

B in GCSE English or English Language and Literature.
