Course description

Working 24-30 hours over five days.

Completeing relevant course work and qualifications

Gaining skills and qualifications in your chosen vocational area

Having experience of real work placements

Developing personal and social skills

Improving your own functional skills including English, Maths, and IT.

 

 

 

 

Course content

City and Guilds- Functional Skills in Literacy Level 2

City and Guilds- Functional Skills in Mathematics Level2

1 Day Emergency 1st Aid at Work Qualification

Additional work - based/Employability qualification in your chosen area.

Entry requirements

Not currently in a job and have little work experience, but are focused on work or an apprenticeship.

You must be 16-19 and qualified below Level 3 or 19-24 and have not yet achieved a full Level 2.

Assessment

You will complete various qualifications and course work which will also include online tests.

Future opportunities

This programme will give you the confidence and skills to progress to a higher level Study Programme, Intermediate or Advanced Apprenticeship or employment.

Further information

This programme is aimed at learners aged 16-24 who are looking for a step into employment by providing them with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and work based qualifications. There are a number of vocational areas that we offer from sports to business to parks maintenance to careers and job advisers to name a few.
