Motor Vehicle:Entry Level Introduction to Vehicle Technology at Suffolk New College
All students will demonstrate their practical skills with state of the art, industry standard workshops. Opportunities to participate in local shows and exhibitions Opportunities to meet local employers within the automotive industry to improve employability skills.
Functional Skills English and Maths
This Entry Level programme of study has been designed to give students a general introduction to a broad range of basic motor vehicle skills. Practical activities are completed in fully resourced workshops led by highly competent and qualified staff. Students will also study technical units to develop skills and knowledge associated with vehicle maintenance to prepare them for further study in this area of work. Students must pass all practical and theory elements of the programme to achieve this nationally recognised qualification.
A profile of GCCE’s at a Grade F or garde 1, including English and Maths
No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2017. For all students aged 19+ please visit our website www.suffolk.ac.uk. Details regarding fee remission and Advanced Learning Loans can also be found at the above website.
On completion of this qualification, students can progress to a level 1 programme in light vehicle/accident repair or another level 1 programme
