Electrical Installation City & Guilds Foundation Diploma Level 1 at Fareham College

Course description

This course is for students looking to develop their skills within electrical topics, with the aim of pursuing a career in this area of the construction industry.

You will develop your skills by undertaking a range of practical workshop activities, and gain an understanding of supporting theoretical knowledge.

All students will be expected to complete qualifications in English and Maths and be given the opportunity to gain specific employability skills.

  • Fabrication techniques for electrical installation

  • Electrical science and technology

Entry requirements

  • Positive attitude and commitment to complete the qualification.
  • Suitability to the course will also be considered during an interview with a member of the Construction or Student Services Team, which will involve an aptitude and skills assessment.

Future opportunities

You can progress on to a Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations, an Apprenticeship or employment as an electrician on construction sites, domestic commercial properties for installation or maintenance of electrical systems.
