A2 Media Studies at The Beacon School
Media Studies A Level is a popular contemporary course which oppers students an insgiht into the world of media through looking at TV, film, print media and new media technologies. Students will be required to learn media theory alongside practical production skills to both understand and create their own media texts. Students will develop their higher thinking skills to research and investigate a range of media whilst learning how to shoot and edit video, create podcasts and generate their own blog pages.
You could take this course with other advanced level courses such as English, to prepare for higher education in Media-related courses, related courses in the Arts or Humanities, or more general higher education courses. With Further training, you could go into a job related to media such as a Journalist, News Reporter, TV Producer, Public Relations Officer The course also helps you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the media and Communication sectors.
