Chemistry at The Chase School

Course description

Your study of Chemistry will help build logical thinking and problem solving skills that will be vital to any future career in area such as Business, Management, Industry or Research.

Chemistry is the Science that looks at how substances react with each other and explains the way that compounds have a phenomenal impact on our own lives as well as the world around us.

Throughout this A level you will study Atomic Structure, Organic Chemistry, Energetics, Chemistry of the Atmosphere, Modern day Green Issues, Rates, Electrochemistry and its applications, Equilibria and Transition Metal Chemistry.

You will learn how to build up and apply these models to demonstrate your understanding of these intriguing concepts.

Entry requirements

To embark upon this course you will need to have demonstrated an appropriate attitude to learning and to have achieved a B grade in IGCSE Chemistry or an A grade in Additional Science, along with C grades in English Language and Mathematics.
