Course description

Skills for Independence and Work; Personal and Social Development; Functional Skills/ Personal Progress: English; Maths; ICT. Additional Information You may qualify for some assistance but some students will be required to contribute towards the cost of the course trips, some of which are compulsory, to pay for some materials e.g. paper, files and any necessary clothing. These costs will be kept to a minimum and should not be more than £150 spread over the year.

Course content

They include varied subjects including English, Maths and IT that wll prepare lerners for level 1 courses.

Entry requirements

This course is for learners who have attended special school woh have no qualifications or those who have received grade E-G at GCSE or similar.

Assessment

Continuous assessment.

Future opportunities

Onto level 1 courses or into work-related training or employment where entry 3 has been achieved. However, guidance will be given to lower level learners.
