ICT Functional Skills Entry 3 at First Rung Ltd

Course description

This course offers learners the chance to improve their ICT/Computer skills. Learner will complete units in Using ICT to Display, Find and Communicate Information. The course is delivered to small groups of no more than 12 learners by supportive and friendly trainers. The qualification is achieved through class based teaching and short tests. There is no exam required to successfully achieve this qualification.

Entry requirements

Prior qualifications are not required, however you will need a to pass a literacy assessment at Entry Level 2 or above.

Future opportunities

You could take this course either alongside, or to prepare for, a GCSE in ICT or an equivalent vocational qualification in a related subject. You could go into a job related to Information and Communication Technology by doing work based training. This could be through an apprenticeship where you will gain relevant experience and qualifications such as an NVQ whilst earning money at the same time. You could also go straight into a job as the course will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge that many employers are looking for.
