Level 3 GCE AS Level in English Literature B FTS at Chesterfield College

Course description

English Literature is all about texts; books, plays and poetry. You will need a keen passion for reading and analysing literature. You’ll study different novels and plays which may include:

  • different novels and plays including Shakespeare, Othello or Twelfth Night
  • novels and plays - Death of a Salesman
  • The Great Gatsby and a selection of poetry by John Keats
  • you'll get involved in analysing the stories and what the authors are trying to achieve

Entry requirements

Ideally you will be achieving at least 5 A*-C grades at GCSE (or equivalent). This should include GCSE Maths and English.

Financial information

Yes - If it's your first full Level 3 and you're aged 19-23 your course is funded otherwise Advanced learner loans are available

Future opportunities

You will be able to progress to university level study or on to employment.
