Sports Leaders UK Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership (QCF) at Woodfield School

Course description

The aim of this qualification is to provide basic skills and experiences in leadership that are taught in a sporting context in order to prepare candidates to lead a simple sports activity for a small group. This qualification will provide a starting point for young people and adults to gain basic leadership skills and apply them to delivering a variety of types of sports activities. Candidates will learn the basic elements of how to plan, organise and deliver a simple sports activity to a group and these experiences will provide opportunities to increase their personal development, i.e. self-confidence, time keeping, team work etc.
