Body Repair Apprenticeship *Fees Payable* at Martec Training

Course description

When vehicles are damaged in accidents, they are taken to a body repair workshop. This Intermediate Apprenticeship in Body Repair will teach you how to remove, repair and fit vehicle body panels that have suffered accident damage. Alongside this you will learn how to contribute to good workplace housekeeping, reduce health and saftey risks amd maintain positive working relationships.The best foundation for a career in a body shop is through an apprenticeship. You will learn and earn at the same time with much of your practical experience coming from supervised work in the body shop itself. You will attend technical college on day release.Like all Vocational training, the qualification is competence based. This means that it is linked to your ability to perform a range of tasks connected with your work. You will plan a programme of development and assessment with an assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove your competence and knowledge.

Entry requirements

Ideally grade C or above in GCSE English, Maths and ICT or Level One Literacy and Numeracy. A basic skills assessment will take place when you come into Martec training.

Future opportunities

Progression onto an Advanced Apprenticeship is possible after completion depending on individual ability.
