Creative Media, Print Based Media-Level 3 BTEC Diploma at Suffolk One

Course description

Choosing Print-Based Media alongside your A Level programme will give you an understanding of the practical skills and knowledge needed to begin professional work in the media production industry, with a specific focus on the Web Design elements of the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Illustrator.

Course content

This course is designed to be adaptable to your abilities and needs. There are two core units, one mandatory specialist unit, plus a choice of three specialist units over two years. The structure of the course allows you to focus on your interests or introduce yourself to new areas, for example:

Entry requirements

These qualifications will normally be taken as part of an A Level programme. Students will usually take one BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in place of one A Level. 5 GCSE's A* - C including Maths or English and A*-C in Art or Graphics.


There will be internal and external assessment of written and practical assignments, by your teachers, and the Awarding Body - EDEXCEL.

Future opportunities

With the international recognition of BTEC courses such as this, you can progress straight into employment or pursue higher study at university.
