Physical Education at Range High School

Course description

What can I expect from Physical Education at Range?

* AS Physical Education is split into three components; Anatomy and Physiology, Skill Acquisition and Opportunities for Participation.

* A2 Physical Education is split into three components; Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Psychology and Contemporary Issues.

* Students will have a specialist teacher for each area of the specification.

* There are regular assessments in order to monitor progress and target set. We also have interviews with our AS and A2 students at Christmas and Easter to ensure that each student is progressing as expected and whether they require any help or guidance in any area of the specification.

Practical assessments will take place throughout the course, but there is a large emphasis on students to collect DVD evidence in the sport or activity they are being assessed in.
