Employability Skills (Peterlee) - C&G Level 1 Diploma at East Durham College

Course description

You will cover a mixture of theory and practical activities and complete your diploma concentrating on becoming an employable person. You will study such topics as, enterprise activity, working as part of a team, C.V. development and interview skills and searching for jobs. You are able to experience several taster sessions within vocational areas of your choice.

Course content


Topics covered in the course: Maths & English, work experience. health and safety and safe working practices.


Entry requirements

Direct entry - Minimum of entry level 3 qualification. Progression entry - An Entry 3 qualification (minimum entry 3 maths and English)


You will be assessed throughout the course with written and practical activities.

Financial information

If you have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and are under the age of 19 on the 31st August, you will not usually need to pay any course fees.

Future opportunities

This course is designed to give you a varied experience of employability skills in several different settings, providing access to a vocational area of your choice.

Further information

Following successful completion of the course, progression options include, studying a level 2 vocational area of interest.
