Plumbing City & Guilds Intermediate Diploma Level 2 at Fareham College

Course description

You will develop your skills by undertaking a range of practical workshop activities, and gain an understanding of supporting theoretical knowledge.

All students will be expected to also complete qualifications in English and Maths and be given the opportunity to gain specific employability skills.

  • Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering

  • Electrical Principles and Processes for Building Services Engineering

  • Scientific Principles for Domestic, Industrial and Commercial Plumbing

  • Common Plumbing Principles

  • Cold Water Systems

  • Domestic Hot Water Systems

  • Sanitation

  • Central Heating Systems

  • Drainage Systems

  • Communications

Entry requirements

Level 1 Plumbing Diploma, five GCSEs at grade D or above or documented site experience could be taken into consideration.

Future opportunities

This qualification could lead to an Apprenticeship and directly into employment. In addition, you could progress onto a number of higher level qualifications within the building services industry.
