Additional requirements: Grade B at GCSE Science.

What is Biology? 

Biology is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, distribution and taxonomy.  Biology is an exciting, challenging subject with the potential for significant personal and financial rewards.


Course content

AS Level: Cells, exchange & transport; Molecules, biodiversity, food & health; Practical skills in Biology i.e Internally assessed practical tasks.


A2 Level: Communication, homeostats & energy; Control, genomes & environment

Entry requirements

5 A* to C grades in GCSE examined subjects.  Additional requirement Grade B at GCSE Science
