Mathematics AS & A Level at Felpham Community College

Course description

Mathematics, as you would expect, builds on topics already studied at GCSE including algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Core mathematics focuses on these skills, but also introduces and develops knowledge of exponential functions, logarithms and calculus. The statistics unit also builds and develops the data handling and probability studied at GCSE, including sampling, and hypothesis. Mechanics includes kinematics, Newton Laws, forces and moments.

Entry requirements

A minimum of five A* to C at GCSE including grade 6 or above in mathematics.
