Religious Studies (A2) at Cheslyn Hay Sport & Community High School
AS and A2 units and content: * Philosophy The ancient Greek and Jewish answers to questions about the meaning of life, existence and belief. Discussions about God’s existence, miracles, suffering and life after death. * Ethics A variety of theories that examine how we make decisions, applied to various topics such as abortion, genetics, euthanasia, warfare and sexuality.
A grade B or above in GCSE Religious Education is required.
Strong links to people based carers, such as Law, Public Services, Social Care, Children’s work, Armed Forces etc. Philosophy is applied to a wide variety of university courses including Mathematics and Science, so it is a flexible addition to anyone’s curriculum.
