Course description

The Private Security Industry makes a key contribution to the UK economy and to the security and safety of the nations, its business and its citizens. It is estimated to employ 500,000 people across a variety of sub-sectors including static and patrol guards, uniformed retail security guards, store detectives, door supervisors and CCTV operators. 

Course content

Knowledge Element - BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Knowledge of Providing Security Services
This part of the apprenticeship is more about the theory giving an opportunity to prove what the learner knows and how deep their understanding of their job role is.

  • Application of Number – Level 1
  • Communication – Level 1
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
