Level 1 Electrical at Shrewsbury College

Course description

This Diploma covers health and safety, electrical installation theory and technology, electrical installation methods, procedures and requirements; electrical installation craft skills and electrical science and principles. Within the qualification the learner will have the opportunity to utilise the IET On Site Guide and also be introduced to how regulations (including BS 7671) affect electrical installation. The qualification covers standard circuits as described in the On-Site Guide.

Entry requirements

You will need a Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science and a commitment and willingness to attend the course to study theoretical and practical components. All students will attend a start event.

Assessment

Continuous assessment by on line exams and practical work with additional practical end assessments

Financial information

Students will be expected to provide their own overalls, safety shoes and contribute to the cost of any additional enrichment activities. If you are aged 19 or over materials fees of £40 are payable on enrolment.
