The course is designed for students who wish to start and run their own business. Students will learn about all aspects of starting their own business from the initial concept, through to developing business plans, websites as well as working with successful business entrepreneurs.

You should meet the standard 6th Form entry requirements. It is preferred that students have achieved a minimum of a GCSE grade B or Merit at Level 2 BTEC in this or a related subject.
This qualification is assessed via 100% coursework which will incorporate individual submissions, presentations, paired and group work.
The assessment approach of the BTEC qualifications in Business allows learners to receive feedback on their progress throughout the course as they provide evidence towards the assessment and grading criteria.
A Merit grade or above from the course could take you on to a business related degree course in higher education. A Pass grade will provide entry to a foundation degree course or a management trainee job. This qualification is particularly helpful for students interested in a career in business or finance or wishing to start up their own Business.
