Course description

This course will provide recognition of the skills involved in a variety of manufacturing sectors of industry which are not covered under traditional engineering Apprenticeship programmes. It covers identifying and selecting engineering materials; marking out for engineering activities; applying quality control in engineering; erecting & dismantling access and moving loads by slinging and lifting.

Entry requirements

Ideally Maths & English Grades A-C or equivalent

Assessment

Training, assignments, practical skills, assessment of knowledge and continuous assessment.

Financial information

Under current legislation all people serving an Apprenticeship must be of employed status.

In financial terms it means they should be paid the minimum rate of pay for Apprentices and contractually employed on a full-time basis.

All training within in the Apprenticeship framework is paid for by Rochdale Training using government funding.
