Law A Level at South Devon College

Course description

Our A Level Law course is designed to encourage and engage students to sustain their interest and enjoyment in law, and enable you to develop your analytical and critical thinking skills. Studying Law enhances your problem solving skills through the application of legal rules, together with an understanding of legal method and reasoning. These skills provide excellent preparation for those students who wish to progress to degree level study or pursue a wide range of careers.

What will I learn?

  • Law making and the legal system
  • The concept of liability
  • Criminal law (offences against the person) or contract
  • Criminal law (offences against property) or tort and concepts of law

Entry requirements

  • You must have a GCSE Grade C in Maths
  • You must have a GCSE Grade B in English
