Electrical Installation Level 2 Diploma at Bridgwater College

Course description

This qualification builds on the learning of the Level 1 Diploma and aims to progress your knowledge and understanding of electrical installation and systems in domestic, commercial and industrial environments. It will include subject areas such as trade theory, electrical science and practical skills.

Course content

This course is made up of a number of units which look into areas such as domestic and commercial installations at level 2 with an introduction to level 3. All units have a practical and theory element. This course is the ideal preparation if you are considering progressing to an apprenticeship.

  • Electrical Installation Theory and Technology
  • Electrical Installation Methods Procedures and Requirements
  • Electrical Installation Craft Skills
  • Electrical Science and Principles

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs in the A* - C range in Maths, English and Science
  • Sccessful interview

  • Practical tasks
  • Science projects

Future opportunities

Students can progress on to a day release apprenticeship programme (an employer in the electrical trade with appropriate work is required).
