Foundation Land-based Course Entry Level 2 at Sparsholt College
The Foundation Studies Programme (FSP) supports students with learning difficulties who would like to develop their personal social development skills and their vocational knowledge and understanding, in a quiet, rural learning environment.
Students work around the College in the specialist onsite facilities in horticulture, the College farm and the Animal Management Centre. Students will study in the new life skills centre with experienced and qualified staff.
The programme focuses on:
- Individual learning programme
- Building self-confidence through achievable goals
- Hands on practical activities
- High levels of pastoral support
- Working in small groups
- Health and well-being activities
Good reference, interest in the subject and attendance at an interview and taster day.
Students could progress in the Foundation Studies Programme or onto further education and training. Students will have an end of year review with their tutor to decide on the suitable option.
