Maintenance Operations Apprenticeship Level 2 at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College*

Course description

This apprenticeship is for people who wish to learn the skills to work within a maintenance team, maintaining and carrying out internal and external repairs to property and buildings.

Course content

You will study for a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Construction – Maintenance Operations, which consists of a NVQ, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills.

You will develop skills from a number of construction trades such as masonry repairs, plastering trade repairs and wood trade repairs. You will also learn about Safe Working Practices, Knowledge of Quantities and Communication.

There are many varied work roles. You may be responsible for a group of properties yourself or you may work as part of a maintenance or estates team. There are also opportunities in specialist fields such as Heritage Work.
