BTEC in Business Level 2 Certificate at St Paul's Catholic School
A level 2 BTEC Certificate in Business is a practical, work related course. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. It introduces learners to particular areas of employment and provides a good basis to go on to a more advanced work related qualification.
This is a one year full time course.
The BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Business consists of 8 units (2 core units, 1 mandatory unit, and 5 optional units) and is equivalent to two GCSE grades at A* to C.

Financial Planning and Forecasting
5 A* - G grades or equivalent.
All students following the Level 2 BTEC Certificate will also study for GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics.
All units are assessed and graded by teachers. An overall grade for the qualification is awarded to all students who successfully complete a combination of units that equate to an overall grade. Grades awarded are Pass, Merit, Distinction, or Distinction*.
With further training or study students may progress into Business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, personnel or sales.
A BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Business provides a solid foundation for employment and more advanced courses such as a BTEC Level 3 qualification.
