Electrical Installations EAL Level 3 Diploma at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College

Course description

The course builds on work done on the EAL Level 2 course and is aimed at learners wishing to train as electricians but who are not currently employed in the industry.

Course content

The core EAL Diploma units are: Health & Safety in Building Services Engineering: Understanding the Fundamental Design Principles Requirements of Environmental Technology SystemsPrinciples of Electrical Science: Electrical Installations:Fault Diagnosis and Rectification Electrical installations:Inspection, Testing and Commissioning Career Awareness in Building Services Engineering.

Entry requirements

EAL Level 2 requirements are a minimum of 3 A-C GCSE, including Math's, English & Science.


The units will be assessed by multiple choice tests, short answerwritten papers and practical assignments.

Financial information

Learners will require their own copies of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and On-site Guide, a text book, Folders, a scientific calculator, protective footwear and overalls.
