Extended Project at East Leake Academy

Course description

Why might I enjoy the Extended Project?

* Inspiration - You have the freedom of choice to selecting your Project topic, which can relate to an area of study or an area of wider personal interest.
* No exams - The Project offers students a new method of study, allowing you to demonstrate your abilities using the approach you prefer. There are no exams, so it will appeal to you if you are better suited to coursework.
* Skills - The Project encourages you to develop a broad spectrum of skills, such as independent learning, initiative, project management, planning, research, problem-solving, and presentation skills. These skills will be used over and over again in the worlds of work and higher education.
* Challenge - It will challenge you as it will probably be the longest project you have ever done. The best projects are considered to be as good as a University dissertation.
* University style teaching - It gives you the chance to experience one-to-one tutorials and seminar teaching.
