Film Studies - A Level at Bexleyheath Academy

Course description

The film industry is notoriously competitive, but Film Studies students will have developed a highly transferable range of skills. The A level course offers the chance to gain hands‐on experience of film‐making and also touch on topics such as film history, theory and criricism.
Students study everything from Hollywood blockbusters to art house movies, taking in screenwriting, critiquing, directing and researching  along the way. Explore a range of films from different cultures, institutions  and historical periods. You will also need to engage with production tasks such as location scouting and filming in your own time.
