Course description

This exciting BTEC course is an ideal choice for students with entrepreneurial ambitions who want to cover a range of business areas including marketing, finance and communications.

Course content

This fascinating course covers areas such as The Business Environment, which looks at different types of businesses and their effects on the economy, as well as Business Resources which provides a great introduction to finance.

You’ll also get to study marketing and business communication as well as other areas including Business Ethics, Human Resources and Enterprise. You’ll also learn about managing and running an event.


There is a significant proportion of course work as well as external assessment.

Financial information

As part of the coursework, you may visit local businesses and take part in an interview role play exercise. You will also have the opportunity to complete a work experience placement.
