Level 3 Cambridge Tec in Health and Social Care at James Calvert Spence College

Course description

This course was developed in partnership with industry and leading employers to create a qualification which develops transferable skills, essential for the workplace or further study. It is aimed at students wishing to pursue a stand-alone qualification, which may be combined with maths and English. It is the equivalent of 1.5 A levels, structured within the wide vocational area of health, social care or early years.

Students study two mandatory units; Developing effective communication and equality, diversity and rights and they may then choose from a wide range of other units to suit their needs and preferences. One unit will be focussed on a placement. There are no examinations in this course.

Entry requirements

Students need to have achieved a minimum grade D at English GCSE to take this course.
