Food Preparation & Cooking (NVQ) Level 1 Certificate at Walsall College
An entry-level NVQ course for those exploring a career in hospitality and catering. This programme will give you the opportunity to develop the necessary practical skills and knowledge to work in the industry and provides a firm foundation for progression on to Level 2 and further learning.
No formal qualifications required. Please note that learners with disabilities or learning difficulties and/or disabilities may be exempt from some entry requirements. This will be decided on an individual basis and will be subject to suitable evidence and needs assessments. Admissions tutors will work with the Inclusive Support Team to ensure learners with additional support needs are given appropriate advice and guidance.
Portfolio based which include individual and group activities, real life scenarios, practical, verbal and written assessments. Functional Skills are exam based.
Entry Level 3 Personal Progression through Employment, mainstream vocational course or employment.
