If you are looking for a career in the travel industry, this programme is the ideal starting point. It will provide opportunities to develop a range of practical skills and underpinning knowledge required to work in the industry or to progress to further study.
You will study

- Preparing for Work
- Displaying Information in Travel and Tourism
- Recommending a Package Holiday
- Researching a Tourist Destination
- Work skills and Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.
You will also undertake a period of work experience and have the opportunity to take part in a number of programme-related trips and practical activities.
You will require four GCSEs A*-D including English and Maths or a full entry level qualification with literacy and numeracy at an appropriate level.
However, applicants who have fewer formal entry qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
Assessment for the Diploma is via coursework; there are no final examinations.
They may take the form of written assessments; short presentations on given topics; practical role-play or group work for each unit.
For the Functional Skills suite you will sit short exams.
You could progress to a higher level programme, depending on your achievement.
