Plumbing Level 2 Diploma at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College*

Course description

This course is aimed at 16–18 year olds and is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required as a plumber.

Entry requirements

Ideally you will have completed a level 1 qualification or have some experience within the Industry. Preferably you will have GCSE grade 4 (grade C) in Maths and English; however, this is not essential. You will be required to attend an interview and a Maths and English assessment.

Assessment

Experience will be gained in the workshop, through practical activities and assessments. Underpinning knowledge will be delivered in the classroom and IT suite, where study will be interactive and informative.

Future opportunities

After successful completion, you can progress onto the Level 2 Plumbing Diploma.

Opportunities in the building services sector include plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation and renewable technologies. You could also employed as a plumbers mate.
