Sport BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (Redditch United Football Academy – football focus) at Bournville College

Course description

This course runs as part of the Redditch United Football Academy which enables both male and female learners to gain a vocational sport qualification alongside full time football coaching. As part of the football programme learners will be able to receive 6 hours of football coaching from UEFA licenced coaches per week and have the opportunity to take part in regional and national competitions. Redditch United is keen to develop youth players for their senior teams and players will have the opportunity to show they are suitable for this progression.

Additionally to the football programme, the Sport BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma enables students to learn about the theory behind sport in great depth. It gives them the opportunity to gain experience for use in the work place or as a stepping stone to higher education. The variety of subjects gives students the opportunity to study most areas of sport and allows them to decide which field they wish to work towards.

This programme is delivered at Redditch United’s Valley Stadium, however learners may be asked to attend occasional sessions/assessments at Bournville College in Longbridge.
