Fitness & Leadership - CERTA Level 2 Diploma - 1 year at Longley Park Sixth Form College

Course description

This course will improve your confidence, fitness and leadership skills through practical activities linked to sport and public services.

Course content

This course covers sports coaching, how to plan and deliver practical sessions and how to get the best out of yourself and others. You will take part in projects based around problem solving, team work, planning and organising events and presentations. There will be a weekly practical session.

Entry requirements

GCSE at grade 3 (D) in English + Maths plus 2 other GCSES at grade 4 (C)

Assessment

Practical projects + written assignments.

Financial information

Everything you must have to undertake the course will be provided by college.  You may have to pay for extras such as trips/visits.

Future opportunities

You may wish to go on to study the BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport Development Coaching & Fitness or a combination of A Levels and BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diplomas in differing subject areas. Other students have also gone on to complete apprenticeships or employment in the fitness and leisure industry.
