Media Studies at Huntington School
Media Studies is one of the most popular Advanced Level subjects. Understanding the world around us depends greatly upon our ability to understand how the media represents the world to us. The aim of Media Studies is to equip students with the ability to be active readers of the media. Over the two years of the course students will analyse a range of media forms, from broadcasting and print to e-media; develop an understanding of the major key concepts that underpin any media text and explore the factors influencing their production.
5 GCSE grades A*-C.
Students will normally achieve A* to C grades in a range of subjects.
Due to the volume of written work, good English skills are an important requirement. However, the key to success in the subject is your ability to embrace new ideas and a desire to develop an inquisitive mind.
