Course description

Then this Apprenticeship in Advanced Fitness is ideal. You’ll gain a combination of qualifications that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in the industry.

Course content

You’ll learn how to evaluate exercise and physical activity programmes, design, manage and adapt personal training programmes with clients and reflect on and develop your own practice in providing exercise and physical activity. Students on Apprenticeship programmes are also required to study functional skills such as maths, English and computing, as well as any additional qualifications that their employment needs.

Entry requirements

All Apprenticeships require an initial assessment, interview and employment in the industry. You will also need Level 2 qualification in the subject or 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and maths at grade C or above with at least a D in the remaining subject.

Assessment

Assessment includes course work, exams (written and practical), oral questioning, a portfolio of evidence, practical demonstrations and assignments.

Future opportunities

You’ll have the necessary skills and qualifications required for working in the sports industry in a variety of roles. You can continue your employment and progress to university level study.
