Caravan And Motorhome Maintenance (Level 2) Apprenticeship at Central College Nottingham
The programme covers the technical and practical needs for today’s Caravan and Motorhome industry. It provides the technical knowledge for people working on Caravans and Motorhomes in all types of repair facilities.
You will study both the theory and practical aspects of the following:
- Materials and Tools
- Carrying Out Routine Maintenance
- Removal and Refitting of Electrical, Chassis and Running Gear Components
- Carrying Out Non Structural Internal and External Repairs
- Health and Safety
- English and Maths
English and Maths are an essential part of your studies and will help you succeed on your course. These subjects will help you develop confidence and are the key employability skills that all employers now look for when recruiting.
You will need to be employed in a Caravan and Motorhome Repair shop carrying out appropriate tasks. In addition, applicants must have achieved 4 GCSEs at grades A* to D or a Level 1 Motor Vehicle qualification or other equivalent qualification.
For each module you will need to complete coursework, written assignments, practical assessments, online tests and work based observations. You will have the advantage of an online e-learning package to help you achieve your target.
Subject to meeting the subject criteria be able to move onto an Advanced Apprenticeship to further improve your knowledge and skills.
To be an Apprentice Caravan and Motorhome Technician you must be employed in a Caravan and Motorhome Repair Shop working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
