Course description

The Hairdressing Apprenticeship is an ideal way to ensure your staff are kept up-to-date with new techniques through practical training, as well as the relevant theoretical knowledge needed to work in this sector. The Apprentice will complete the following: - Diploma in Hairdressing Level 2 - Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English Examples of units covered: - Perm and Neutralise Hair - Cut hair using basic techniques - Advise and consult with clients

Course content

Apprentices will gain practical skills and qualifications that your business needs both now and in the future. With a mix of on and off the job training they will learn the skills that work best for your business. Apprenticeships can make your business more productive and effective by addressing your skills gaps.

Entry requirements

You must be in relevant employment to start an Apprenticeship and pass an English and Maths assessment


- The Diploma is evaluated through a series of practical and a portfolio of work - Functional Skills are assessed through examinations where appropriate - Average duration is 24 months
