Geography A Level at Manshead CE Academy

Course description

This Geography qualification enables students to engage critically with real world issues and places, apply their own geographical knowledge, understanding and skills to make sense of the world around them, and to help prepare them to succeed in their chosen pathway.

Course content

 Topic 1: Tectonic Processes and Hazards
 Topic 2: Landscape Systems, Processes and Change – including optional subtopics
from which students choose one from two:
2A:Glaciated Landscapes and Change
2B: Coastal Landscapes and Change
 Topic 3: The Water Cycle and Water Insecurity
 Topic 4: The Carbon Cycle and Energy Security

Entry requirements

Grade 4 or higher in English and Maths

Geography is a broad based subject that really fits well for your future progression.
