French AS/A2 at Tech City College

Course description

As technological advances brings the world closer, being able to communicate across cultural and linguistic boundaries has never been more important. Studying a modern language A-level provides an insight into another culture and society. It will help you develop the knowledge and skills you acquired at GCSE level and offer opportunities to use your chosen language outside of school in a wide range of contexts. You will learn to converse, understand and write on topics such as youth culture and concerns, health and fitness, travel, education, employment and the French speaking world. At A2-level you will be required to present and debate effectively, and demonstrate your ability to write and translate.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade C including a minimum grade B in the modern language selected for A-level study.

You will be assessed through examination.
