Course description

There are 2 Modules:
1. Speaking
2. Listening, Reading and Writing

Modules are taken in June of Year 12. Topics for AS include:
- Media: TV, Advertising, Internet
- Today’s Culture: Cinema, Music, Fashion
- Healthy Living: Sport, Health, Holidays
- Family: Relationships, Friendship, Marriage

YEAR 13 A2 LEVEL GERMAN

There are 2 Modules:
1. Speaking and Reading
2. Reading, Listening and Writing

Modules are taken in June of Year 13. Topics for A2 include:
- Society – integration & exclusion
- Law & Order  Environment
- Political Issues
- Heritage & History
- Study of text/film

Entry requirements

This course is for those students who have achieved a Grade C or above at GCSE German. It is for enthusiastic, highly motivated students with a wish to succeed and who enjoy a challenge.

Future opportunities

It is important to realise that many careers require the ability to speak and write one or more foreign languages. Only a few real specialists become translators or interpreters, but most organisations require and value people with language skills.
