Business Studies AS/A2 at Sir Frederic Osborn School

Course description

Business Studies allows you to
investigate how businesses are
managed and the factors that influence their ability to be
successful. The course enables students to gain crucial management
Areas of study include Marketing, Accounting and People in
Organisations, including employment law.
Also covered are external influences such as the European Union,
operations management including Research and Development, and
objectives and strategy, particularly in relation to growth.
With Business Studies it will be possible to enter a vocational
career on leaving school or go to university. Many business
university courses have joint honours e.g. Business and Finance,
Business and Language and Business and IT. In the long run, Business
Studies at AS/A2 gives a grounding for people who want to run
their own business, join management fast track schemes or become
the next Richard Branson!

Entry requirements

Grade A*-C if taken at GCSE Maths GCSE A*-B. Not to be taken with Economics *APS: 40 or above
